Eco-friendly comforters
At Kaloo, we are constantly seeking to improve by reducing the impact of our activities on the environment. We have developed two ranges of eco-friendly comforters, tender and protective companions for a birth gift with values:
♥ Petit Pas, organic cotton comforters ♥
Through the Petits Pas range Kaloo offers 6 flat cuddly toys made from organic cotton.
The organic cotton chosen for the Petit Pas range meets the highest and most comprehensive standard for the textile industry, from planting to dyeing. This collection has been designed to limit the number of materials used.
The rabbit and bear comforters in this collection are suitable for baby's delicate skin.
♥ Carré Douceur, comforters in recycled polyester ♥
‘Carré Douceur’ is a collection that brings together a range of rabbit, bear and mouse comforters in stylish colours and patterns that will delight parents and enchant little ones.
Each comforter is made from fabric and stuffing made of polyester from recycled plastic bottles that are GRS-certified (Global Recycled Standard). The attractive gift box that accompanies each of the comforters is made of cardboard from responsibly managed FSC®-certified forests.
More than just comforters, they are adorable friends.

Stuffing made from recycled polyester
Today, all our references are filled with polyester fibre stuffing derived from recycled plastic bottles.
This recycled polyester is GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified, which means that our cuddly toys contain a minimum of 50% recycled material. This international standard certifies the recycled content of a product and verifies compliance with environmental, social and chemical responsibility criteria throughout the production chain in over 50 countries.
For soft and comfortable toys that are lovely to cuddle!
Sustainable packaging
All our iconic boxes are designed to be reused by families as storage boxes or decorative items in baby's room.
With this in mind, our boxes are designed with a clean graphic style, making them not only the perfect box for a birth gift, but also a reusable object.
Since 2020, most gift boxes no longer include plastic. Wherever possible, we strive to use recyclable, FSC®-certified, materials in the making of our product boxes.

Actions in favour of early childhood
A message of gentleness and stories from the heart:
♥ The Petit Coeur de Beurre association ♥
We have been supporting the association Petit Coeur de Beurre since 2017.
Petit Coeur de Beurre raises public awareness of congenital heart disease and works on a daily basis to improve the quality of life of young patients and their families. Kaloo is committed to bringing comfort and tenderness to babies and children with heart defects by donating comforters that will accompany them throughout their treatment and beyond the hospital.
A creation full of tenderness has been specially co-created: ‘My First Super Hero’, in collaboration with the association Petit Coeur de Beurre and illustrator Marie Savart. The detachable long magic cape can be permeated with the scent of the parents and has been designed to reassure the child in their absence. To avoid any tears, the cape can be reattached to the Superhero’s shoulders when you are away from him.
€2 per product sold was donated to the association and Kaloo products are regularly donated.
♥ The Dons Solidaires association ♥
Since 2018, Kaloo has been supporting the association Dons Solidaires by offering soft toys and comforters to disadvantaged families.
Dons Solidaires offers the donation as an alternative to destroying unsold items and allows Kaloo to fulfil its social mission.
More than 337 associations benefited from the “NOËL POUR TOUS” (Christmas for Everyone) programme organised by Dons Solidaires since the partnership with the Janod and Kaloo brands started. 186,790 items have been donated by Kaloo and other brands from the JURATOYS group since the start of the collaboration, which means the same number of happy children!
♥ Semaine Nationale de la Petite Enfance (National Early Childhood Week) ♥
Kaloo is an official partner of France’s National Early Childhood Week: a week of mobilisation around a theme with games and stories for professionals, parents and children throughout France.
This event is under the patronage of the Ministry of Health and Solidarity and the Ministry of Culture.
All individual or collective childcare centres are invited to take part free of charge in order to encourage the artistic awakening of children aged between 3 months and 3 years, to inform parents about the issues at this stage of life and also to promote the value of professionals in their daily work.
A wide range of educational, artistic and cultural events are on offer, such as early-learning play workshops, themed installations and conferences.
